April is almost done!!

Well here we are at the last week of April!! I can't believe how time is flying by. I enjoyed the 80 degree weather this weekend! IT was so nice to catch up on things around the house and work on client workouts and bask in the sun! I can't believe that I am 6 weeks out from the New York Show! I can tell that my body is very smart this time around and is being more stubborn in dropping the lbs. I am patient and I continue to be consistent with my training and nutrition. I know things will happen. I can feel clothing fitting differently so there are some changes. I love this process because you learn so much about your body. My lesson of the week is to get enough sleep each night. I got a couple of bad nights sleep and it through off my workouts a bit. I also crave more things when I am tired. My new goal this week is to be in bed at 930 every night! I don't like starting off my day being sleepy...I want to wake up full of energy and ready to hit my morning cardio! I will be blogging more these next couple of weeks!! Stay tuned. Please email me with any topics!
13.5 weeks out!!

So it is March already!!I can't believe how time has flown by!! I am going to start blogging consistently over the next 13.5 weeks until my competition on June 6th in New York! I like all struggle in some way to achieve my goals- it does not come easy to me and there is alot that goes into preparing to compete and getting on stage. For all those who have no idea about what competing in Bikini/Figure is then I will try and explain. Please be open minded about this sport and don't make assumptions about anything! It is the most vigorous and challenging sport I have ever been apart of my whole entire life. I have been an avid basketball and lacrosse athlete my whole life and this is by far the hardest, most disciplined sport ever. You have to mentally in the game 100% in terms of your training and nutrition. I make many sacrifices and keep a positive attitude throughout each process. You diet down/lean out for 12-14 weeks and compete against other girls in your height class in terms of the criteria if you are doing figure or bikini. I had been in Fitness America for 3 years prior and just last year I switched over to NPC Figure. I came in 2nd in my first show and 7th in a national qualifier show. My body is genitically VERY CURVY and I have decided that I am going to highlight what I have and compete in a division that will look at curviness as a bonus ( I hope..lol) The NPC just added in Bikini to the divisions and this is a softer look then figure and is a more marketable look. My goal with competing-especially this year is to show that this is NOT easy for me but with some drive, motivation, determination- ANYone can TRANSFORM their body...I am not shy to show what I look before I compete because this is me and I love my body and what it is capable of. I have come long ways over the years in terms of appreciating and being thankful for all the things I love about my body. It starts from within...you have to love your body at every stage of your life cause its the only one you got!! So I hope you love reading about my journey as much as I love sharing my experiences...some good and some bad and some funny...I love to help and inspire others and the more we share with each other our experiences in life the more we can be opened up to what this world has to offer. So here I go- As of March 6 I am officially 13 weeks out!!!!!

Hello All..This is truly exciting to be able to start this blog! I intend on posting quite frequently so stay tuned..If there are any topics that you would like discussed- send me an email! Today is such an icky day..Can't stop being cold and wet! I am excited for 2009 and all it will bring. I am focusing on building my clients in the area as well as starting a boot camp for moms and dads in the spring in Lexington! I have also created a training technique that works for really transforming your body! Stay warm and stay tuned for the in progress newsletter coming your way!
